Writing my story,
one step at a time
My Why
My sports journey in endurance started with a wild dream back in high school: to finish a marathon someday. The problem? I couldn't even run 5k at the time without stopping to catch my breath.
Over the years, that dream evolved as I became fascinated by triathlons, especially Ironman. But doing something like that felt impossible. “I'm not one of them,” I'd tell myself. Those were different people. Elite athletes. Not me.
Until one day, I stopped playing around with this idea and simply started, small and steady. I committed to consistent training and kept on believing in myself.
From that first gasping 5k to to crossing the finish line of an Ironman, and on to completing 100km+ ultra trail races through the Alps. Each step has proven a simple truth: ordinary people are capable of extraordinary achievements. Not through talent or luck, but through commitment, consistency, and the resolve to keep going when it gets hard.
What truly drives me is the understanding that the lessons learned through sports apply to every part of life. I believe we are capable of far more than we often think.
My Key Milestones

Zürich Marathon
My challenge: “Can I even run 42km in one go?”
What I learned: The hardest part is finding the courage to register for the race and show up to the start line. You'd be amazed by what you're capable of and how much the energy of the crowd can carry you.
IRONMAN Switzerland Thun
My challenge: Confronting the perception of “I'm not one of them.”
What I learned: Commit to the process. Train consistently. Never stop believing in yourself. Dare to try, and great things will happen.
Trail Verbier St Bernard by UTMB 2025 - X-Alpine
My challenge: “Ultra distance in the mountains, through the night, alone on remote trails.”
What I learned: The key is to keep moving forward while maintaining a positive mindset and calm focus. Breaking the distance into manageable sections and taking one step at a time allowed me to persevere and appreciate the journey.
“Not particularly fast. Just showing up and never stopping.”
My Lessons Learned
The Regular Person Myth
The Story
People sometimes call extraordinary achievements “crazy” or say you must be “elite” to do them. But I'm not elite, nor a professional athlete. I'm a regular person with a full-time job and a strong will, who decided to try hard things and push boundaries. The only difference between someone who does such things and someone who doesn't isn't talent, but rather it's the decision to keep showing up.
The Lesson
I truly believe that everyone can do extraordinary things, if they just dare to try, stay persistent, and never stop believing in themselves.
